Windermere & Bowness

Bowness-on-Windermere sits on the shores of the world-famous lake, Windermere. It's a haven for those who love visiting the Lake District to enjoy its splendid scenery, while also relishing in everything the twin towns of Windermere and Bowness have to offer. From local shops, popular restaurants and water-bourne activities on the lake, Bowness-on-Windermere is better known as the heart of the lakes. We can see why.

Peg’s Place is perfectly located for exploring both towns and the surrounding areas, being only a minute's walk into the centre of Bowness, and a short walk into the slightly quieter village of Windermere.
