Nestled on a peaceful lane just off Silverdale’s village centre, The Bolt Hole is a refined yet relaxed hideaway – perfectly positioned for beach walks, woodlands, and Lake District adventures. Renovated with style and comfort in mind, this dog-friendly cottage for five offers a quiet luxury feel, a private hot tub, and a lovely enclosed garden for outdoor living.

Step inside and you’re greeted by a calming, contemporary interior with a cosy living space – home to a large, plush sofa, two inviting armchairs, and a smart TV. The modern kitchen-diner is a social hub, with elegant cabinetry, quality appliances, a Nespresso machine, and a solid wood table with seating for five. A door leads straight from the dining space onto a suntrap lawn – perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks.

At the end of the garden, you’ll find a private terrace with outdoor dining furniture and a hot tub for five – sheltered under a timber frame, so you can relax outdoors whatever the weather. In warmer months, it’s an ideal space for barbecues and al fresco evenings; in cooler seasons, it's a cosy spot to soak after a blustery coastal walk.

Upstairs are three thoughtfully designed bedrooms: one spacious super king, one elegant double, and one compact single – each styled with high-quality linens and soft neutral tones. The family bathroom is smart and fully tiled, with a large walk-in rainfall shower.

With parking for two cars, secure bike storage, and Silverdale’s shops, tearooms and nature trails just a minute’s walk away, The Bolt Hole is the perfect choice for couples, friends, or families seeking a well-located holiday cottage in Silverdale with a hot tub—and room for the dog, too.

Pam | May 2026
We’ve just returned from another wonderful stay at this beautiful house, and once again it was absolutely perfect. From the moment you arrive, the peaceful atmosphere of the lovely quiet village instantly helps you relax and unwind. The house truly feels like a home from home — warm, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything you could possibly need for...

Everyone felt at home
Sarah | April 2026
We had a lovely stay for a family of different ages and a dog and everyone felt comfortable and at home. The property was secure with a fenced in garden for the dog and the hot tub came in handy when it rained! Ross was approachable and helpful in giving clear arrival instructions. Would stay again!
Very Comfortable

We had a great stay at the Bolt Hole. Beautiful and very comfortable house in a fantastic little village. We really enjoyed the surrounding countryside for family walks, and the private garden for BBQs, sun bathing and time in the hot tub! Ross is a great host, checking we had received instructions ahead of our stay.

Sarah | December 2025
Lovely spot in Silverdale. The house is 2 minutes walk from a couple of pubs, a coop, a butcher, a Indian, post office and a pharmacy. It is 5 minutes walk to the beach with lovely coastal walks. We had a lot of fun in the hot tub and appreciated our welcome gift. We will definitely revisit. Highly recommend this...
Lovely little village
Tina | November 2025
Silverdale is a lovely little village and the house was very close to the amenities. The house was warm and inviting and well presented with lots of lovely artwork. The lounge seating wasn’t particularly comfortable and we did have an issue with the shower leaking which meant we couldn’t shower or use the hot tub for over 24hrs but apart...

We had a brilliant stay in Silverdale. The house is beautiful, well presented, comfortable and with all the amenities you could need. Ross was a great host, very communicative and accommodating of our many requests. The area is great, lots of walks to explore and some great pubs nearby. We definitely hope to return!

Great stay in Silverdale, lovely views out over the bay. Village has all you need for a stay, with lovely coffee shops, butchers and a Co-op. The Silverdale Hotel is a great place to eat. Hot tub was much appreciated after a long day out walking! Comfortable cosy home.
