Wansfell Heights is a second-floor apartment with magnificent views over Ambleside and the well-known fells of Loughrigg, Fairfield Horseshoe and, aptly, Wansfell Pike. Centrally located in popular Ambleside, Wansfell Heights offers a prized parking space by the door, as well as being right in the heart of this Lakeland town.

The apartment, sleeping 2, was refurbished in Spring 2024 and provides light, airy and modern accommodation, while blending with the traditional features of this Victorian style property. Dual aspect windows, high ceilings and carefully paired soft furnishings compliment the charm, with those stunning views being the ‘pièce de résistance’!

Once inside Wansfell Heights, the living areas are made up of a spacious lounge – with plenty of comfortable seating to cosy down on after a day of exploring – and a newly fitted dining kitchen, with all the necessities for self-catering.

There’s an equally spacious double bedroom on the east side of the apartment, again benefitting from outstanding views, and a large shower room with walk-in shower off the main hallway.

It begs no question that Wansfell Heights is the ideal base for those looking to be close to the action, while also in prime location for exploring many of the other fabulous towns nearby.

ACCOMMODATION – SECOND FLOOR

  • Tastefully furnished double bedroom with ample storage, high ceilings and dual aspect views of the nearby fells.
  • Newly fitted house shower room with spacious walk-in shower (rainfall head and separate handheld), cabinet basin and WC. Separate cupboard with washing machine.

Need to know

  • Parking is for 1 car and there is an allocated space directly outside the apartment.
  • This property is strictly no pets and therefore suitable for guests with allergies.
  • There is gas central heating throughout.
  • Please note that this apartment has single glazed sash windows with separate secondary glazing; this assists with maintaining warmth and helps to block out noise.
  • A cot and highchair are not available, but you are welcome to bring your own.
  • This is a self-contained apartment with shared access via the communal hall/stairway. Wansfell Heights is the only property occupying the second floor. Kindly be made aware that there are two flights of stairs to take before entering the apartment.

Great property in Ambleside with parking space and short walk to centre of town. Well equipped, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. Tarn and Fell escapes were great to deal with even calling to say I could check in earlier because the previous guests had checked out early. Would love to stay here again

Everything about Wansfell Heights makes it a superb visit each time. Apart from the high quality, tasteful decor and the excellent wide ranging amenities and comfortable furnishings the place is always warm and quiet and very relaxing to be in whilst also being very continently located with good parking.

We would definitely recommend this lovely apartment. On arrival everything was immaculate and of very high standard with a full equipped kitchen. Brilliant location with amazing views and parking directly outside. We booked through Tarn and Fell and as always nothing was too much trouble for Ross who was very helpful as always. We had a very enjoyable stay.

This accommodation was of a very high standard, comfortable and beautifully finished. On the 2nd floor and the views were splendid. There is a convenient parking space although I didn't use as arrived via public transport. The flat is very quiet. I was unaware of other residents or street noise. Very conveniently placed for town amenities, bus station. restaurants etc....
