The charity support families impacted by all types of dementia, including Vascular Dementia – a condition particularly close to me. My Grandad, Peter, endures the daily struggles of this condition and has done for some years now. Though I’m grateful to share some of my fondest memories with my Grandad, it’s truly heart-breaking to know that he can’t always recall those same memories in the way that I can. It’s for that very reason I hope to actively encourage charitable donations to Dementia UK.
All guests are kindly invited to make a voluntary donation when booking your holiday with us, or by leaving any spare change behind when departing your property. For every pound (£) donated, we’ll match your donation (up to the value of £10) in a bid to support everyone living with dementia.
I’d be most grateful of your donations and remain inspired by the work that Dementia UK undertake.
Thank you,
Ross Hayton – Director
It’s estimated that by 2025, over one million people in the UK will have a diagnosis of dementia, and almost all of us will know someone effected by this cruel condition.
With thanks to the ongoing support of their donators, Dementia UK provide advice and support to families who are living with dementia. It’s my objective to help fundraise for this initiative and ensure that the support from such an incredible charity can continue for years to come.
Dementia UK have a team of Admiral Nurses – registered nurses and dementia experts that work across our communities, GPs and hospitals to help those who need it most. The nurses help people living with dementia stay independent for longer, and support the people caring for them so that they have the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days.
