The bright, open-plan living space forms the heart of Bramblings by the Lake, designed for relaxed, sociable stays. The contemporary kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering holidays, featuring a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher, along with generous worktop space. A separate utility area houses the washer/dryer, providing practical storage for coats and walking gear. The dining area comfortably seats six, perfect for family meals or planning the next Lake District adventure.

Bramblings by the Lake is a single-storey lodge with level ramp access from the parking area to the entrance. The decking area includes steps. The property is not specifically adapted for guests with disabilities. In the event of a fire, all guests must be able to self-evacuate without assistance. Windermere & Bowness

White Cross Bay sits in a superb central position on the shores of Lake Windermere, perfectly placed between Bowness-on-Windermere and Ambleside. Families will love nearby Brockhole on Windermere, with its adventure playground, treetop nets, mini golf and boat hire, while lake cruises connect you easily to Bowness, Lakeside and beyond.

The area is ideal for walking, from gentle lakeside paths to popular fell routes such as Wansfell Pike and Loughrigg. Water activities including kayaking, paddleboarding and sailing are all available locally, and Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa is just along the shore for spa days, dining and watersports.

Regular bus services run along the A591, making it easy to explore the wider Lake District without the car, including Grasmere, Keswick and Coniston.
