Dizzy Ducks Lodge is a well-presented, lodge style holiday home providing modern accommodation for six people and up to two dogs on the popular holiday resort of White Cross Bay. This Lake District lodge makes a fantastic choice for families or groups of friends looking to explore everything the area has to offer. With a swimming pool and a number of other facilities on site, you’re never too far from the action, all while being nestled in a quiet corner of the holiday park.
On approach to the lodge, you’ll find a handy parking space from where you can easily unload the car and get your holiday underway. Once inside the lodge, you’re welcomed to the left by a spacious and open-plan living space. A large kitchen, with dining table for six, is home to a large French American fridge freezer; separate wine chiller for those all-important holiday tipples; gas oven and 5-ring hob; microwave; dishwasher; washing machine; and many other modern-day conveniences.
Dizzy Ducks Lodge has a cosy yet airy lounge, with deep cushioned sofas, electric fire and SMART TV setting the tone for a relaxing evening after a day of exploring. From the lounge, access the wrap around deck through floor-to-ceiling French doors. On the veranda, there’s two large tables and seating for six, making this the perfect base to take in the rural surroundings and enjoy spotting nearby wildlife.
The accommodation at Dizzy Ducks Lodge is made up of 3 bedrooms – 1 double bedroom with wall-mounted TV, plenty of storage and a neat en-suite with basin and WC. 2 further twin bedrooms occupy the rear of the lodge, both with TV’s and ample storage. A family shower room with access to a spacious walk-in shower, basin and WC is found in the middle of the lodge.

Need to know
- Dizzy Ducks Lodge is on the popular White Cross Bay Holiday Park, with facilities on site including children’s play areas, bar/restaurant, shop, swimming pool and lake frontage. All activities are bookable through the park directly and we cannot guarantee their availability.
- Dizzy Ducks Lodge has a private Wi-Fi network for use by guests only. ParkDean also provide park wide Wi-Fi free of charge.
- There is private off-road parking for 1 car, as well as additional visitor parking at the entrance, subject to availability.
- 2 well behaved pets are welcome.
- Please note that the lodge is sited under a number of trees, and we therefore advise that their leaves and needles do tend to fall at certain times of year. Every effort will be made to prepare the space for your arrival, but we remind guests of our rural location.
- There is gas central heating throughout and an electric fire in the lounge.
- A cot and highchair can be provided where booked in advance – please note that the cot will only fit in the master bedroom and that mattresses/linens are not provided for the cot.
- Linen and towels are provided for the bedrooms listed above.

Dizzy Ducks Lodge is a lovely home from home when visiting the beautiful Lake District. The location is ideal - right on Lake Windermere and just a few minutes from Ambleside jetty, with Ambleside itself a few minutes further on. From the lodge, you can easily visit several stunning mountains, lakes & waterfalls. The lodge itself has a really well-sized main bedroom with small unsuited, as well as two smaller twin rooms. As is usual with this type of lodge, those beds were smaller than usual singles but still comfortable enough, & there is a comfortable sofa bed in the lounge too. Basics such as washing up liquid, hand soap, washcloth & dishwasher tablets were provided - thank you. A laundry detergent pod or two would have been really useful as well, & I think that having a second waste bin for recycling would be a good addition too. Ross is an incredibly responsive, helpful and friendly host, answering all of my queries & questions from booking to the end of our stay. Thank you!

Ross is extremely friendly and accommodating and the lodge is beautiful.

This is the best lodge we’ve stayed in yet having visited Whitecross, Fallbarrow and Limefitt regularly quiet location not far from the main building. Best place to stay in The Lakes
Best place to stay in the Lake District, very close to Windmere. The lodge is extremely clean, comfortable and looked just like in pictures. My family and I absolutely loved our vacation and thanks to Ross for hosting us. Ross was very helpful, responsive and ensured that we had a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this place!

Standards are high
Ross has been very responsive right from when we first booked a year ago, the lodge was perfect for 5 of us, ideal location for what we needed, you didn't feel on top or overlooked by others despite being near other cabins, on site facilities were excellent!
