Heather Mere Cottage is a stylish holiday cottage, offering elegant accommodation and a real slice of luxury in the beating heart of popular Bowness-on-Windermere. The plush decors have been carefully considered and every effort has been made to ensure your stay in this sophisticated home is one to remember.
Entering through the neat courtyard, you’ll be welcomed into the custom built dining kitchen, featuring an excellent range of Neff appliances and the modern day conveniences of a Quooker boiling water tap and Nespresso coffee machine. A circular dining table sits opposite the kitchen, offering comfortable seating for four. It’s the ideal place to embrace the well equipped kitchen, or perfect for an evening of board games.
Beyond the kitchen but still within the airy and spacious open plan living area, you’ll the find the equally opulent lounge – home to the feature log burning stove and deep cushioned sofas. Whether you’ve had a day exploring the nearby fells, or spent the afternoon mooching around the shops, this space is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Upstairs, there’s a king-sized bedroom (that can be a twin) and a second double bedroom, both tastefully decorated with TV’s and offering what might be described as hotel-like accommodation. The star of the show must be the bathroom. A walk in rainfall shower sits to your left, while the striking roll top bath immediately draws your attention. Not only can you enjoy some ‘me time’ in this tranquil haven, but the built in TV also means you can catch up on your favourite soaps in peace!
To the rear of the property you’ll find a well-kept elevated patio, ideal for a morning cuppa or an evening tipple. Despite this property being just minutes from the popular World of Beatrix Potter attraction and the famous lake, Windermere, Heather Mere Cottage feels private and secluded.

FIRST FLOOR
- Sumptuous master king-sized bedroom with 500-thread count linens, wall mounted TV and ample storage. This bedroom can also be made into a twin bed on request.
- Second double bedroom with 500-thread count linens, wall mounted TV and ample storage.
- Large bathroom with feature free-standing bath and wall integrated TV, spacious walk-in rainfall shower and separate handheld shower, large basin and WC.
Need to know
- Parking at Heather Mere is on road for one vehicle on the surrounding streets, and by way of permit – this will be provided on arrival. There are additional car parks in close proximity to the property and parking passes for 3 or 7 days can be purchased locally at additional expense.
- 1 well-behaved dog is welcome.
- Minimum 3 night stay, but any day check-in is welcome.
- There is gas central heating throughout.
- A cot, highchair and milk sterilisers are available on request, but unfortunately, we cannot provide a stair gate.
- The kitchen has an induction hob – anyone with a pacemaker is advised to take caution and seek professional medical advice.

An immaculate property, with an abundance of amenities, they really had thought of everything, from toys for the kids, to any sort of glass or cup you can imagine, pizza cutter, cheese grater...jars full of sweets, coffee pods, sugar, coffee, hot chocolate! Just an outstanding property. Ross our host was super responsive and even sorted and early check in for us! Thank you again Ross for such an amazing stay in a great and amazingly equipped property!

This is one of the most clean, neat and very well managed properties we have ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean, has all the necessary toys, and needs for children. Kitchen is very nice has everything you need, bathroom is lovely too. Both rooms are spacious and have great storage space. Its not somebody's house you are renting, its a professionally managed property. Ross was always ready to respond to our queries and was very helpful. 100% recommend to everyone, especially families with babies or kids.

The accommodation was better than the photos, the little touches provided by Ross were a real treat. There were three adults staying for five nights and there was more than enough space, everything was very comfortable from the beds to the couches. We had a vehicle and parking was a breeze, right outside the front door on Craig Walk. There is absolutely nothing to fault with Heather Mere. Highly recommend.

This was such a cute and cosy cottage, tastefully decorated, in an absolutely adorable town. Everything was super clean and organised. We arrived late in the night but Ross immediately responded on the phone and gave us instructions and guided us to the home. He made sure we got in there safe. The house is in walkable distance ( less than 5 min) from all the main restaurants, shops, cafe and theater. Yet the place is absolutely quiet and peaceful. Lakefront is about 10-12 min walk downhill. Claire, the owner visited us and made sure we had settled in. The kitchen is fully equipped. We had a memorable time in the house. Parking is a bit tricky with street parking in narrow street with few small spots close to the house. However having lived in Lake District before, we knew this is normal for a cosy lake side town. We will certainly visit again. We strongly recommend the house.
