The accommodation at High Tarn Green is made up of one double and one twin bedroom, both tastefully dressed in soft furnishings and offering generous free space with en-suite wet floor shower rooms for added privacy – conveniently heated with underfloor heating, shower, basin and WC. The bathrooms are equipped with grab rails for those who require them; a shower seat and wheelchair can be made available on request.

- Spacious double bedroom leads off the lounge with en-suite wet floor shower room: underfloor heating with basin, shower and WC. Grab rails, shower seat and wheelchair are in place for those who may require them.
- An equally spacious twin bedroom leads off the kitchen, with en-suite facilities matching those above. This bedroom also has a SMART TV.
- Neat courtyard garden with outdoor dining set and parasol.
Need to know
- Off-road parking for 2 vehicles is available free of charge, with space for additional cars on request.
- This property has been adapted to suit guests who are less able, and those who use wheelchairs. All doorways have been widened and the house is all on one level. The wet floor shower rooms have grab rails in place and a shower chair and shower-friendly wheelchair can be provided.
- Unfortunately, this property does not accept pets.
- There is underfloor heating throughout, including in the bathrooms.
- An initial supply of logs and kindling will be provided. Further supplies can be purchased locally.
- Bed linen and towels are included with the rent.
- An iron, ironing board and hairdryer are offered to bring an element of convenience to your self-catered stay.
- Guests have access to a washing machine; there are clothes airers in the property.
- There is suitable storage for up to 4 bicycles on request.

Absolutely superb, scenery excellent, very peaceful, ideal time of year with all the spring colours
Our main reason for picking this location was because it provided wheel chair access., a good choice, the accommodation was well laid out and was very suitable for a w.c. the entrance was a bit tricky and also the car drop off wasn't easy. The kitchen was well laid out, every thing to hand. Both the shower areas were good....

We had a lovely three night break at High Tarn Green. The rural location made for a quiet peaceful stay in warm, comfortable and well presented accommodation. The property had everything we required and we had no need to bother our hosts who had left us some nice biscuits, milk, orange juice and wine to find on our arrival, a nice touch. The property location is ideal for exploring the South Lakes area and The Furness Peninsular and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to family and friends.
Peaceful spot
Throughly enjoyed our stay at High Tarn Green. Ideal for my elderly mother as all on one level and grip handles in bathroom. The only issue was the disappointingly low pressure on both showers . The showers prevent me from recommending the property to others.

A Beautiful House in a Beautiful location
This house is really well appointed with everything that we could have wished for for my wife who recently broke her hip. It is situated in a very beautiful rural spot in the South Lakes and the owner was extremely helpful and even arranged some nice weather for the whole week!

High Tarn Green is a lovely place to stay in. We liked having two ensuites as well as two bedrooms, although I found the shower in the ensuite off the double bedroom difficult to get the right temperature and a strong flow of water. The roads to and from are single track, but we hardly ever met a vehicle coming the other way, so not a problem for us. We visited many places in the Lake District while staying here. It was lovely.

We have just spent 4 wonderful nights at High Tarn Green, Cartmel Fell in the Lake District, and I can thoroughly recommend it.
Everything from making the first enquiry to booking and arriving at the cottage was very well organised. Ross the Director of the company was lovely and extremely helpful, and he was always at the end of the phone, if needed.
As a wheelchair user, I am always slightly apprehensive when booking accessible accommodation, but I need not have worried. The cottage was absolutely perfect for our needs.
There was four of us staying in the cottage so having two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms was really useful. The two wheelchair accessible bathrooms are really spacious and the use of the shower chair was easy to manoeuvre and transfer into. The property is completely level and really spacious for moving around in.
A large table in the lounge was great for sharing meals at and our evenings were spent at the table playing games (some of which were provided, by the owner) great fun.
The underfloor heating throughout the property, especially in the bathrooms, was luxury (I feel the cold) so it was and an added bonus.
The sun shone for us every day and we were lucky enough to have breakfast outside on the patio, it was pure peace and quiet,, just listening to the sound of the birds, and the view of the hills was beautiful.
Thank you to the lovely owner of the property who welcomed us when we arrived. She had made us some delicious shortbread biscuits, and there was a bottle of wine and some fridge provisions, which was a lovely touch.
Overall, the whole holiday was amazing and we will definitely be back, can't wait to return.
