Inside, the cottage is calm and considered, with two spacious en-suite bedrooms dressed in luxury linens. Each bedroom has a Smart TV and Velux windows for natural light, while the en-suites offer generous walk-in rainfall showers, underfloor heating, soft towels, and Bath House toiletries for a spa-like feel.
The open-plan living area offers deep leather sofas, an electric stove, and a Smart TV – perfect for cosy evenings in. A breakfast bar provides relaxed seating for four, and the well-equipped kitchen includes high-quality appliances and cookware for easy self-catering.
Set just away from the main house, a private terrace with seating and a charcoal BBQ offers views across open countryside towards Morecambe Bay and the distant Lakeland fells – perfect for coffee at sunrise or a glass of wine at sunset. Just opposite the terrace, a converted barn houses your exclusive private hot tub. Framed by rustic beams and tranquil views, this spa-style space includes a neat set for outdoor eating and drinking – ideal for unwinding after a day outdoors. Ivy Cottage also includes off-road parking for two cars and secure storage for bikes and outdoor gear.
Please note: Ivy Cottage is located close to a working farm, so while the setting is wonderfully peaceful, you may occasionally hear the soft sounds of livestock or see farm activity nearby.

OUTSIDE
- Set away from the main house, a private terrace with outdoor seating and charcoal BBQ (charcoal not provided).
- Beautiful views across open countryside towards Morecambe Bay and the Lake District fells.
- Opposite the terrace, a converted hot tub barn with timber beams, exclusive-use spa-style hot tub, and sheltered seating area.
- Off-road parking for two cars.
- Secure outdoor store for bikes, muddy boots, or paddleboards.
Need to know
- Parking at Ivy Cottage is free of charge for up to 2 vehicles on the private driveway.
- Check-in is from 4 pm, and check-out is by 10 am.
- Pets are not permitted due to the nature of the nearby working farm.
- There is underfloor heating downstairs and in the bathrooms, with radiators throughout the rest of the cottage.
- All utilities, high-speed Wi-Fi, luxury bed linens, towels, and a supply of initial toiletries are included in your stay.
- A washer/dryer, iron, and ironing board are available.
- A cot and highchair are available on request.
- A charcoal BBQ is provided – please bring your own charcoal and firelighters.
- The hot tub barn is for Ivy Cottage guests only and includes a sheltered seating area. Please note that the hot tub and patio are set away from the main house.
- Ivy Cottage is set close to a working farm, so while the surroundings are wonderfully peaceful, you may occasionally hear the gentle sounds of livestock or see farm activity nearby.

Great little cottage,restoration has been done very well,outside fits in with farm surroundings really well,but inside modern with high quality appliances,furnishings etc.Clean and neat. The hot tub itself was of an excellent standard and under cover, so great when the weather is poor. You are within a working farm, so lots going on, although this didn't bother us at all. Lovely welcome gifts included too 😊

We had a fantastic four-night stay at the beautiful Ivy Cottage as a family of four. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The cottage was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the thoughtful touches – including robes and towels for the hot tub – made our stay even more comfortable. The hot tub was a real highlight, especially after a day out exploring the stunning local scenery. It was the perfect way to relax and unwind in the evenings. Just a small tip for future guests: don’t forget to bring flip flops for walking out to the hot tub. We’d also highly recommend taking a walk over to Arnside and stopping at The Albion for lunch – a great spot with lovely views and delicious food. The Wolf Café just around the corner is also a brilliant place for breakfast and well worth a visit. Overall, a wonderful stay that we’d happily repeat!

Amazing place to stay! We went for our birthday as two couples with two babies. Lovely welcome Prosecco, marmalade and eggs on arrival - very much appreciated! Had the best time
We stayed at Ivy Cottage at Gibraltar Farmhouse in Silverdale and honestly had the best time. The cottage has a gorgeous rustic feel, with beautiful wooden beams, really thoughtful lighting, and a kitchen that’s genuinely well fitted (not just the usual holiday let version). Everything was spotless and super well cared for, and the whole place was lovely and toasty....

The cottage has a gorgeous rustic feel, with beautiful wooden beams, really thoughtful lighting, and a kitchen that’s genuinely well fitted (not just the usual holiday let version). Everything was spotless and super well cared for, and the whole place was lovely and toasty. The beds were ridiculously comfy… the kind where you briefly consider cancelling your plans just to stay horizontal for another few hours. We also loved the little extras next door. Fresh eggs, chutneys, jams. It’s those small touches that make it feel properly looked after. And the hot tub was a highlight. It’s tucked inside the barn so it’s sheltered (very appreciated), but you can open the doors and look out over the sands, which is such a nice touch. We stayed as recording session / getaway and it was exactly what we needed. Owners and host were lovely.

Beautiful cottage to stay in. The views across the bay towards the Lake District are gorgeous, especially from the hot tub which is in a lovely private barn. The beds are extremely comfortable and massive. The owners live next door and are very friendly and nice. We didn't want to leave!

Very special place
Ivy Cottage is exactly as the photos show and is on a working farm as explained in the listing. That just added to the experience! The cottage is a lovely, comfortable and spacious property. So warm and welcoming with lovely treats on arrival. The marmalade was excellent!! The views are incredible and the setting is wonderful - day and night....

The neighbours (owners) were terrific and so friendly. The information received before our stay was clear and concise and Ross was very communicative and friendly. I've stayed in many holiday cottages - this one was something special. The communication from Ross was faultless: information on check-in was sent days before our trip and was useful and detailed. We were able to access the property early which was a real bonus. The property itself is beautiful - stylish, warm and comfortable and so well-equipped, even down to coffee pods for the coffee machine. Little touches like this, along with luxury toiletries, make this a special place to stay. The owners were incredibly welcoming and friendly and gave us useful advice on local walks and places to eat. There are plenty of walks directly from the doorstep and the area is wonderfully peaceful. We had Sunday lunch in the Silverdale Hotel - excellent food and service. I have to mention the hot tub - it's spacious, great temperature and has stunning views across Morecambe Bay. You are provided with dressing gowns - the host and owners really have thought of everything. We will book this place again next year!
