Set in the heart of Hawkshead, Ross Cottage is a beautifully restored Grade II listed holiday cottage combining the character of a traditional Lakeland home with the comfort and quality expected from a luxury Lake District escape. Believed to date back to the 18th century, this characterful cottage sleeps up to five guests across three floors and is perfectly suited to families, couples travelling together and multi-generational holidays.

Beautifully preserved original features, including exposed beams and traditional slate floors, sit effortlessly alongside contemporary furnishings, bespoke fitted shutters and luxury bathrooms, giving Ross Cottage all the charm of a classic Lakeland cottage without compromising on comfort.

At the heart of the cottage, the open-plan living and dining area provides a welcoming space to come together after a day exploring the Lake District. Relax beside the wood-burning stove, enjoy family meals around the dining table or plan tomorrow's adventure over breakfast. The well-equipped kitchen features a Cookmaster range cooker and everything needed for relaxed self-catering stays.

Upstairs, you'll find three beautifully furnished bedrooms, including a king-size master with en-suite shower room, alongside a luxurious family bathroom finished with Villeroy & Boch sanitaryware. Every bedroom features bespoke fitted shutters and a Smart TV, creating comfortable spaces to unwind at the end of each day.

Step outside and you're immediately immersed in the charm of Hawkshead, with welcoming pubs, cafés, restaurants, galleries and independent shops just moments from your front door. Enjoy morning coffee in the front seating area or dine alfresco in the shared rear courtyard before heading out to explore Grizedale Forest, Tarn Hows, Coniston Water and Windermere. The secure external outhouse provides practical storage for bikes and outdoor gear, together with washing facilities, making Ross Cottage an excellent choice for walkers, cyclists and families discovering the South Lakes. A parking permit for a nearby car park is also included for added convenience.
