Smithy Cottage, set in the popular village of Hawkshead and much-loved for its historical links to William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter, truly brings something for all.
Entering through the neat courtyard-style garden with comfortable patio furniture, the farmhouse inspired kitchen awaits. The well-equipped kitchen provides everything you could need for a self-catering stay and the large dining table is the perfect place to host a home-cooked breakfast or an evening of family games.
The focal point of this Lakeland cottage is without doubt the recently refurbished lounge. With subtle hues, soft furnishings and comfortable seating for the whole family, this cosy space creates the perfect home from home atmosphere. Kicking back and relaxing has never been as easy with modern day conveniences to hand.
After a day on the fells, you’ll find two sizeable double bedrooms on the first floor, both having access to the shower room on the same level. A third twin bedroom is located on the second floor and is conveniently located opposite the house bathroom, featuring the star of the show – a deep bath. The perfect place to soak away those aches and pains.
Please note: out of peak season, a discount is automatically applied to bookings of 4 people or fewer, and this is on the assumption that you only have access to two of the three bedrooms. We will contact you after booking to confirm which bedrooms you'd prefer – the unrequested bedroom will be locked on arrival. If you'd like to book for 4 people and have access to all 3 bedrooms, please book for 6 people and leave a note in the relevant field, or contact us to discuss your requirements.
