Tarn Hows remains a popular family-friendly walk, close to our Hawkshead holiday cottages and not far from the village centre itself. Grizedale Forest Visitor Centre also provides something for all ages with miles of walking and cycling tracks – all easily accessible from the main car park. The forest segway experiences and high ropes courses at Grizedale Go Ape are also popular group activities in Hawkshead.
